Patatas Bravas


3 large onions
1 kilo of tomatoes (peeled and diced)
1 clove of garlic
1 tbsp paprika
150ml Don Carlos Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1-2 hot chilli peppers
Don Carlos Fine Salt
1 tsp sugar
8 medium sized potatoes
2 litres of water

Serves 4


Boil the potatoes in their skins for 10 minutes. Peel and cut into 4 vertical slices. Deep fry the potatoes in hot olive oil. 

To make the sauce, fry the onions, garlic and chilli in olive oil. Add the tomatoes, pepper, salt and sugar. Cook for approximately 40 minutes until reduced. Blend in a food processor.

To serve, pour the sauce over the potatoes. 

This is a very popular tapas dish and it is so easy to prepare at home.
